Fall is in the air and for me that means pumpkin! I’ve been pumpkin carving and craving pumpkin based foods. I know that making pumpkin muffins are on the horizon! But in the meantime, to meet my need for pumpkin and to change my morning smoothie, I decided to make a pumpkin spice latte version! It really is packed with protein, 13 grams! It could have been more but I really am not a fan of the protein powder I used (but I work with what I have in the house) so instead of two scoops, I only used one. I considered using kale but knew folks would probably not get past the green color to enjoy the taste. Anyway, when I posted this photo on facebook people asked for the recipe I decided to go ahead and share it!
Pumpkin Spice Latte Smoothie
1/4 cup canned pumpkin
1 cup unsweeted original almond milk (I don’t do dairy but you can use any type of milk you like)
2 Tablespoons Chia seeds
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 scoop Fit Frappe Vanilla latte flavor
4 ice cubes
Method
All all ingredients to blender and enjoy!
