It is week 2 of my paleo journey and I am down another 2.2 pounds! WooHoo! Last week I was down 11 so that makes a grand total of 13.2 pounds over a two week period. I am excited and feeling good. Eating the paleo way has not been difficult at all. I realize that if I have food in my house, I will make great choices. But when I don’t food shop I have a tendency not to eat which in turn slows down my metabolism and I hold on to weight. I am so excited that I am determined to make a difference in my overall health by focusing on my diet. In my video this week I highlight my daily food intake, check it out!
Moving forward I’m sure I will lose between 1 and 2 pounds a week which is the healthy way to lose weight. If I stay on track by the time my marathon comes around I will be at my “fighting” weight of 150 and hopefully a good percentage of that will be muscle! I haven’t been able to fit in CrossFit lately but I’m hoping to balance out my schedule because I truly enjoy it. And I don’t want to wait until after the marathon. Trying to do both is extremely challenging but I am going to do my best to get CrossFit in!
I can’t wait to see what next week has in store with both my scale and my workouts!

wow, congrats girlie. i have to look into Paleo. I have been hearing so much about it. keep up the godo work. is Paleo a mostly protein based diet?
Paleo diets remove anything our cavemen ancestors did not eat. So no rice, pasta, wheat, etc. Heavy on veggies, nuts, fruits and of course protein.
Yeah!!!!! I’m so proud of you, it’s nice to see the scale moving in the other direction! It’s hard to never really get off this “journey” isn’t it? I’m pretty sure the “maintenance” phase is the hardest. But we’re making it happen! HIgh five!
Girl! Maintenance is the most difficult! But I know we have this in the bag. I’ll keep checking in on you! We can be accountability partners.
