Before I get to my weigh in I want to toot my own horn. On Monday I ran 10.1 miles in 1:45 and a few seconds. Now, I know for some people that is a SLOW time but for me it was utterly amazing. I can truly say that I haven’t run at that pace since February. During this marathon training I’ve learned quite a bit – about myself, about training and most of all about being happy with my accomplishments both big and small. I am pushing myself physically and mentally and will come out at the end of the marathon victorious. In the meantime, I am celebrating my victories both large and small!

Now to the scale – yes, it has moved but in the WRONG direction! I am not worried about it, I was on a business trip over the weekend from Thursday – Monday and my food choices that adhere to the paleo lifestyle were not readily available. I did have some good eats- including lobster and some great Thai shrimp but I did indulge. This weekend I am off to Vegas. Yeah. Not really thinking the scale will move the right way this upcoming week either! But rather than beating myself up I made a motivational (I hope) video and will be back on track after this two weeks of travel are completed. I may be a little down (figuratively) but I am NOT defeated!

You go girl! Love that quote
Thanks Meghan!
“It was SO good.” LOL! Cute video. And, congrats on the run!
Love your positive attitude. We’re so on the same page today!

Sometimes ya just gotta indulge! LOL I’m going to take it easy in Vegas!
I hear you on the travel issues. The only way I lose weight is by counting calories, which is just impossible if I’m not at home (estimating doesn’t work with my brain). But, I never regret it if I gain or don’t lose after a trip, because I always have such a good time!
You are so right Amy, when traveling we have to give ourselves a break. Vegas is going to be fun and I’ll keep my body moving. Who knows? I may even manage to lose!
You rock, Renee – I am so proud of you! I remember when you were just trying to decide whether you could run a half marathon and here you are cranking out serious runs for your full!
Also – I totally stole that picture from your pinterest and it’s on my blog today too
I need to remind myself that the little steps count too.
Thanks Bari! And steal away! I get all my best motivational quotes from facebook. I totally recall saying I’d NEVER run a half-marathon and now I am running all over town. It is amazing what we can do once we put our minds to it!
I prefer to go by how my clothes fit over weight..I think it’s just better for us.
And, congrats on running 10.1 miles. Never done that in my life.
Enjoy your trips! You know how to get it back right and tight!!
